1. What is a Strategy Manager?
Investment Program Strategy Managers are experienced traders who operate Strategy Accounts at FXTM.
2. Who has access to my money?
Your funds are allocated to your personal Investment Account. Investors may, whenever they want, deposit, pause and withdraw funds from this account. The Strategy Manager only trades on his/ her personal account. The trading activity that takes place on Investor accounts is based on the activity on a Strategy Manager’s account. This is facilitated through the system of the FXTM Investment Program. Strategy Managers do not have direct access to Investors’ accounts or funds.
3. How can I control my risk exposure?

There are four ways to control your risk exposure:

  1. Protection Level. The Protection Level serves as a way to safeguard your account from additional losses. If your equity reaches your specified Protection Level then your Account will be paused or you will receive a notification according to your preference.
  2. Safety Mode. By enabling Safety Mode, your investment will be limited nearly to half the amount. Doing so limits losses but also potential profits by twice as much. You can activate Safety Mode in your Account’s preferences next to “Protection level”. 
  3. Top Ranking Strategy Managers. The Top Ranking Strategy Managers page lists all Strategy Managers along with their Level of Aggression. Managers with less aggressive Strategies are more conservative and less exposed to risk.
  4. Pause Button. With the “Pause” button, you have the option to stop all trading activity in your Account at any given moment without closing your Account. You can resume your investment whenever you want by clicking the “Resume” button.
4. How much can I lose/risk?
 You can use a combination of the options outlined above to have full control of the amount you are willing to lose/risk.  
5. How much can I win/gain?
There is no limit on the amount an Investor can gain. From the Top Ranking Managers Page you can get a good understanding of how much a Strategy Manager can gain for a specified period in time. For instance if the Strategy Manager Account generates 100% profit in one month and the Strategy Manager has set a fee of 20%, the Investor will enjoy an 80% profit for that month.
6. How to choose a suitable Strategy Manager?

Choosing a suitable Strategy Manager is based on the desired Risk level and Returns. 

  • The risk level of a Manager’s strategy is based on the Maximum drawdown, Aggression Level and all the statistics on closed trades (percentage of winning/losing trades etc.) 
  • The Return percentage is based on the Strategy Manager’s performance for the specified period (Overall, monthly, daily, etc.), performance fee and all statistics on closed trades (percentage of winning/losing trades etc.) 

Aggressive Investors mostly focus on the Managers with the highest returns and acknowledge the higher level of risk involved to potentially generate such high returns.

Conservative investors mostly focus on minimizing their risk exposure by taking into consideration risk metrics. 

7. How to open Investment Account?

There are 2 ways to open an investment account:

  1. Go to the Strategy Rating Page
    1. Click on the Strategy Manager you would like to invest in
    2. Press the ‘Invest’ button
    3. Click on ‘Register’ to open an account if you are a new client (provide personal data)
    4. Click on ‘Already a client’ to Login to MyFXTM If you are an FXTM client
    5. Press the ‘Open’ button on confirmation manager pop-up
    6. Take the suitability Test in order to access your risk profile.
    7. Your account will be created.
    8. Next step is to make a deposit to activate your investment account

  1. Login to MyFXTM
    1. Click the “Open Account” button, on the top right of the page- to open a new account and press ‘Select’ for “Investment Account”.
    2. A list of Managers will be displayed so you can choose the Manager you prefer and then click the “Select” button.
    3. Take the suitability Test in order to access your risk profile.
8. How to deposit funds to an Investment Account?

In order to deposit funds into your investment account, you will need to Login to MyFXTM. In the middle of the webpage, under My Investment Accounts select the Investment account you wish to deposit funds into. Then click on the arrow on the right, and press deposit on the right. There are two ways to make a deposit to an Investment Account:

1. External Transfer

  • Select Transfer Method: Bank, Credit Card, Electronic Payment and click the Deposit button.
  • Select the Currency Denomination for your Account (EUR, GBP or USD).
  • Enter the amount of funds to be deposited and press “Confirm”.
  • Enter the PIN received in your email/mobile phone and press “Submit”.
  • Your funds will be transferred to your Investment Account shortly and an email confirmation will be sent to your email address. 

2.Internal Transfer from another funded trading account:

  • Click My Money on the Top Left and press “Internal Transfer”. 
  • Select the Account from where the funds will be deducted.
  • Select the appropriate Investment Account for Deposit in case there is more than one. 
  • Enter the amount of funds to be deposited and press “Confirm”.
  • Enter the PIN received in your email /mobile phone and press “Submit”.
  • Your funds will be transferred to your Investment Account shortly and an email confirmation will be sent to your email address.

9. How to withdraw funds from my Investment Account?
In order to make a withdrawal from your Investment Account, you will need to login to MyFXTM. Click on My Accounts found on the left-hand side of the webpage, and in the drop-down menu, click on ‘Accounts Overview’. On the next page, select the Appropriate Investment Account for withdrawal (in case there is more than one) and press the “Withdrawal” button in the top right corner of the webpage. Enter the exact amount of funds you wish to withdraw, then click “Submit”. If you want to withdraw the full amount, select the “I‘d like to withdraw all funds and close the account” option.
10. How to Pause an Investment?
In order to pause your investment, you will need to Login to MyFXTM, click on the Investment Account name that you’ll find in the middle of the page under My Investments Accounts. On the next page, in the top left box under ‘Account’, you will see the “Pause” option next to Account Status. When you press this, all investments in the account will be closed.
11. How to Resume my Investment?
In order to resume your investment (if it has been paused), you will need to Login to MyFXTM, click on the Investment Account name that you’ll find in the middle of the page under My Investments Accounts. On the next page, in the top left box under ‘Account’, you will see the “Resume” option next to Account Status. When you press this, all investments in the account will be resumed.
12. How to change my Protection Level?
In order to change your protection level, you will need to Login to MyFXTM, click on the Investment Account number. At the bottom left of the webpage you will see the “Protection Level” button. Click the button in order to adjust the percentage of your Protection Level to your preference and then press “Set”. i.e. if you invested $1000 and the protection level is set at 80%, this means that when the Investment Account equity drops below $800, all your positions will be closed.  For more information regarding the Protection Level, please click here.
13. When is the Strategy Manager’s Fee paid and how much do I need to pay?
  • The Strategy Manager’s fee is paid at the end of the Monthly Interval, in the case of a withdrawal and at the closure of a profitable Investment Account.
  • The Fee percentage is determined by the Strategy Manager and the Investor will see that this percentage will be deducted from his Account only if the Strategy Manager generates profit. The Fee percentage is set up at the time of creation of the Strategy Account and it will always remain the same for the Strategy Manager’s existing Investors. In the case of a partial withdrawal, you will receive the net withdrawal amount after calculating the fee payment which is proportional to the amount of profit generated for that period.
14. How to close my Investment Account?

To close your Investment Account, you will need to login to MyFXTM. Click on the Investment Account that you’ll find in the middle of the page under ‘My Investment Accounts’ and then click the ‘Withdrawal’ button in the top right corner. Choose the “I would like to withdraw all funds and close the account” option and then click ‘Submit.’

15. Does FXTM charge any additional fees?
FXTM does not charge any additional fees. Investors are only required to pay the Strategy Manager’s Fee in the case that he generates profits. Investment Accounts take place in the ECN Zero Server and are charged the following commissions.
16. How to enable/disable the Safety mode?
In order to enable/disable the Safety mode, you will need to Login to MyFXTM, click on the Investment Account name found in the middle of the page, under ‘My Investments Accounts’. In the top-right box on the next page, under ‘Account’, you will see the “Safety mode” and whether it’s “Off” or “On.” Click the enable/disable button next to it, depending on the action you wish to take. When the Safety mode is “On”, you are limiting your investment in open positions by half as much. To disable the Safety mode and resume investing normally, click ‘Disable’.
