1. What mobile platforms do you offer?

We offer MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 applications for:

  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Android phone
  • Android tablet
  • Windows Mobile

2. How do I download the MetaTrader 4 or 5 trading platform on my iPhone/iPad?

Method 1

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to MyFXTM
  2. Go to Downloads on your Trader’s Desktop
  3. Find the platform you want to download and the device
  4. Click Download
  5. Follow the instructions to install the platform (If you don’t have iTunes you will need to download and install it)

Method 2

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the App Store app on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Search for MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 accordingly
  3. Click Get
  4. Finally click Install
3. How do I download the MetaTrader platform to my Android phone/tablet?

Method 1

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to MyFXTM
  2. Go to Downloads on your Trader’s Desktop
  3. Find the platform you want to download and the device
  4. Click Download
  5. Finally click Install

Method 2

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Play Store and search for "MetaTrader 4"
  2. Click on "Install"
  3. Click on "Accept"
  4. Click on "Open" and when you are asked to select your broker you must type: "Forextime" (without the quotes)
  5. You can now "Log-in with existing account" or "Open a demo account"
4. Do you offer a mobile platform for Blackberry?
5. How do I choose the server?
  • Type ForexTime in the search bar
  • Choose the correct live/demo server
  • The server is included in the email sent to you with your login details

6. I get an “Authorization Failed” message when I try to log in. Why?

Possible errors:

  • Incorrect login/password/server
  • Make sure that you enter the correct login details which you received in your email when you registered for an account.
7. When I try to place a trade on iPhone, nothing happens.

Possible errors:

  • Account is not active for trading – make sure you provided the necessary documents and that your account is fully approved.
  • Not enough funds in the account – in order to make a deposit, please login to MyFXTM and click Deposit Funds at the top menu.
  • You logged in with a read-only password. The read-only password provides public access to your account without the permission to make any changes or open and close positions and is meant for sharing results with investors. Please check the email you registered with to locate your Trading Account password.
8. What instruments can I trade using the mobile platforms?

All instruments are made available in all our platforms desktop and mobile.

9. I have limited currency pairs available in my trading platform. How can I see more?

To do so:

  • Click on the + sign at the top
  • Choose Category
  • Click Symbol
10. Does the iPhone/iPad edition of MetaTrader 4/5 have indicators?

Yes. The iPhone/iPad version of our platforms currently has 30 technical indicators you can use.

11. Does the mobile application for Android have indicators?

Yes. The MetaTrader 4 Android app currently has 30 technical indicators you can use.

12. What other features does the Android app offer?
  • 3 chart types: line, bar and candlestick
  • Charts with options to change colors and styles of visual elements
  • Option to display order levels on charts
  • Option to enable different chart modes allowing to scroll/zoom, draw, modify and delete objects, resize indicator areas and view OHLC data.
13. Can I add an Expert Advisor/Indicator on my mobile platform?

No. These apps have limited functionality in comparison to the PC version, therefore Expert Advisors and additional Indicators cannot be installed.

14. Can I place a trailing stop on an order I have opened?

No. This function is not available on mobile applications. However, you can use it on the PC version of the trading platform.

15. How do I uninstall the trading platform application from my iPhone/Android phone?


To uninstall the trading platform from your iPhone/iPad follow these steps:

  1. Locate the trading platform app on your home screen
  2. Press and hold the application icon for at least 1 second
  3. Click the X button that appears on the left of the icon
  4. Click Yes to delete the application and all its data

Android phone

To uninstall the trading platform from your Android phone follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings (through the app menu)
  2. Go to Apps/Application Manager
  3. Select the app you want to uninstall
  4. Click Uninstall
